Prosperity and Labor

Ecclesiastes 5:18-19 -
Even so, I have noticed one thing, at least, that is good. It is good for people to eat, drink, and enjoy their work under the sun during the short life God has given them, and to accept their lot in life. And it is a good thing to receive wealth from God and the good health to enjoy it. To enjoy your work and accept your lot in life—this is indeed a gift from God. (NLT)

2 Thess. 3:10-12 -
For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “If a man will not work, he shall not eat.” We hear that some among you are idle. They are not busy; they are busybodies. Such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and earn the bread they eat. (NIV)

Psalm 128:2 -
You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours. (NIV)

Proverbs 13:11 -
Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase. (KJV)

Ephesians 4:28 -
Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer, but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need. (NIV)

1 Cor. 3:8 -
The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. (NIV)
