Cats Behaving Badly: Aggression

Sleepee's issues don't really fall into any of these categories...but he's settling down a little now that he has his own space (my daughter's room, she moved out a few weeks ago). He comes out and seeks attention when he wants it, and retreats when he feels the need. My husband also made him a special soft object that is all his own, and the cat has stopped stealing, chewing, and defending our grandson's stuffed animals as well. We're working with him, trying to meet his needs and understand him. Adopting a middle-aged shelter cat (declawed yet - UGH! no wonder he uses his teeth so much!) is a little tougher but the reward is turning out to be great as we gradually earn his trust :).

#Lewybody Disease Often Mistaken 4 Alzs.

My mother has Lewy Body Dementia, and it was a long road - and a nearly deadly one - to her diagnosis. Doctors don't know, and in my mom's case it was a doctor's "all dementias are alike" belief, in spite of my arguments, that nearly killed her. I am thankful that she recovered to a degree, as many do not. But it is essential that LBD is correctly diagnosed and treated, as this article points out...because drugs commonly used in other dementias can severely harm or even be fatal to an LBD sufferer...
